Out of this World Fishing Experience

Well, we didn’t know where to start on this one …….

After a quick half day earlier in the year,  Alan and Russell vowed to return for a week.

They arrived at the end of September for a full-on week with 6 days fishing. This time their friend Liam joined them, although only an occasional angler with our help he had the fishing experience of his life.

They stayed in our Lakeside Bungalows for 7 nights and took in 6 days fishing. First job was for TopCats Tours to get them motorbikes, so that they could sample the local restaurants, such as the French Kiss and the local Lamai nightlife. They fished hard and only stopped to travel to The Full Moon Party, another trip organised by TopCats Tours. That said Russell was often seen multi-tasking, working while watching the Ryder Cup in the TopCats Sports Bar.

As for the fishing experience it was #fishingoutofthisworld catching 106 fish between across 13 different species.

Alan was one of the keenest anglers we have seen, and he was nonstop and with some great guiding by Tadpole personally had 60 fish and 12 different species. TopCats is famous for its Carp and Arapaima fishing but does house 40 different species and the record for a staying angler is still 14 species, but we must mention here that amongst our rare species are some big Salween Rita Catfish and Alan caught, not one but TWO in in a single day, truly remarkable .
