Not All Lines Are Created Equally
TopCats Fishing Resort, Koh Samui, Thailand, is pleased to announce that it will be exclusively using fishing line supplied by Gamma Fishing.
Gamma fishing line is a brand of fishing line that is known for its high-quality and high-performance characteristics. Gamma fishing line is available in a range of colours, strengths, and diameters to suit different types of fishing and fishing conditions. It is a popular choice among serious anglers and is used for a variety of fishing applications, including freshwater and saltwater fishing, bass fishing, and fly fishing.
Many thanks to Dale Black (Gamma) and Simon Pomeroy, MD of Pallatrax , the exclusive European distributors for the molecular altered line. The nanotechnology process has altered the filaments resulting in 4 very important characteristics for us when battling the monster fish, we have here :
- Increased strength i.e., lower diameter in relation to the breaking strain
- Increased shock resistance
- Increased abrasion resistance
- Low memory
After extensive trials, the line has landed Arapaima to 380lb ,Mekong Cats to 150lb and Carp to over 100lbs. Our line of choice is the moss green copolymer, Polyflex which comes in various breaking strains. TopCats will be using 51lbs breaking strain which is incredibly only 0.53mm in diameter !!
