I was lucky enough to visit TopCats twice in November 2019 and February 2020.

The new owner Simon made me feel most welcome and the Thai staff are a credit to the resort, all them could not do enough for me. I stayed in a Suite Bungalow, with access to the private swims at the back of the Lake.

The accommodation was large and very comfortable with super cold aircon, satellite TV, and very good Wi-Fi which is a must for me as I am often combining work with pleasure.

The food menu has a great selection including breakfast items, from sausage baguettes to the full on belly buster. Be prepared, the portions are huge, the Pad Thai was too big for me to eat!

As for the fishing, it is out of this world. My favourite peg was the Coconut Peg as on one day there I had 12 fish including an amazing Arapaima, a dream fish by anyone’s standard. I travel in Asia for work and will be back I promise.
