My partner, Will, loves fishing and has asked me to fish with him for years, so when he asked me to go fishing in Thailand at Topcats I decided to go.

This was my first time ever fishing… I had never picked a rod up before and didn’t even know if I’d enjoy fishing, but I thought we will find out
ha-ha !!

OMG what an experience. Tao was our guide for the week and the experience he gave us was amazing, he helped me with absolutely everything, nothing was too much trouble for him and the laughs we all shared along the way just made the experience even better. This guide is an excellent fisherman and even though Will has fished for several years he learned a lot from Tao our guide. We had such a brilliant experience resulting in exactly 100 fish between us in 6 days even though it was so hot the fish didn’t want to play sometimes.

My personal tally was 44 fish , with 7 species and a biggest of 80lb. Will did slightly better with 56 fish, 8 species and a and a new PB of an Arapaima estimated at 130lb.

All the staff at TopCats are brilliant and the girls can’t do enough for you, keeping you well fed and watered… five-star service.

The hospitality from the owners, Paul and Simon was first class, nothing was too much trouble, and they will help with any requests you may have.

The whole week was so good we have already we have booked to stay for 14 nights with our son in November. Can’t wait to see you all again !
