Louis is originally from Quebec in Canada, an avid fisherman, who has fished all over the world including salmon fishing in Alaska, trout fishing in the wilds of New Zealand, as well as various other fishing parks in Thailand.

He fished here in August for the first time on an afternoon session on the Coconut Swim, he had a great day with some spectacular fish including some huge Amazon Redtails and the awesome Ripsaw Catfish.

But his dream was an Arapaima, so he returned last week to fish on TopCats Swim No 9 in Arapaima bay. Within the excellent guiding work of Doy, he was soon into his first one and he actually ended with three!! The second one was the biggest, a breath-taking, golden Arapaima of over 200lbs. One point that we need to blog is that the other fish Louis caught was a Mekong Catfish, this is the first one we have seen from the Arapaima swim.
