Ian Fantham, who I have known for many years as a director of Astute Electronics, at last made it to TopCats after several false starts caused by Covid.

He came with his son Jack, staying in Suite Bungalows on a 6-night stay with a 4-day fishing package; to stay it was a full on and good fun week would be an understatement!

They played golf with Paul on one non fishing day and squeezed in, on another, an island tour which we offer via TopCats Tours. Then, of course,  there was the main event, the spectacular fishing.

Jack and Ian were very competitive, but I think it was about even over the 4 days. As you can see some truly breath-taking fish were caught including a Julien Golden Carp for both, much to the disgust of TopCats regular and species record holder , Danny Bowkis who was here and has fished close on 5 years trying to catch one of these majestic fish.

Yours truly had my arm twisted to take them out a couple of nights, once in Chaweng for some great live music in Jimmy Woos and then somehow me and Jack were boogieing in a nightclub until the early hours, but the real highlight was a momentous win by the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. A late 4-3 victory that we watched in Woodys in Lamai and celebrated after with a bit of pole dancing.

To cap it all with the TopCats Sports bar in full flow we watched England with the World Cup Cricket on a glorious Sunday afternoon.

I am not sure you could come up a better holiday and as they headed to Bangkok for a rest, they promised to return next year.
