TopCats Swim Number 9 is the legendary “Arapaima Swim”. It is situated on the main lake in Arapaima Bay to the left as you look out from the restaurant balcony. The swim, in our humble opinion, is one of the best predator pegs anywhere.

Not only is it home to some huge Arapaima , but it can also deliver back aching sport from some huge Redtails and Alligator Gar.

Didi and Mano fished it earlier in the month and like all customers were not disappointed, netting 3 monsters in their 5 hour stint. Nothing is guaranteed in fishing but since I have owned TopCats , it has always delivered the goods. Find out more about the swim and how to book here.

With the water being about 2ft down at the moment we noticed that the termites have been at work and it’s also a good time to get access to carry out the rebuild.

I went out to buy the materials and within 3 days the team finished the job. All the wood is the finest quality and is firstly treated with anti-termite paint and then stained before final construction lake side.
