I have been travelling in Thailand for a month and whilst in Koh Samui took a relaxing 3-night break at TopCats Fishing Resort staying in a Lakeside Bungalow.

After the nightlife of Chaweng, it was very peaceful although the fishing is anything but peaceful.

I did 2 ½ days fishing and lost count of how many fish I caught.  The Carp fought hard but the highlights for me were a last cast Arapaima and a last cast hard fighting Redtail Catfish.

It’s just not about the fishing, at TopCats there is a warm welcome and the staff create a friendly, family atmosphere.

The food and the service were both very good, and the Spring Rolls were the best I have tasted on this holiday, but be careful they are very hot.

The bungalow was very comfortable with good aircon and a fan which I preferred to use.

Finally one bonus for me was the superb set top box which had every German channel available and made it just like home.
