We took advantage of the 14-night holiday special that includes 9 days fishing . It’s safe to say that we had a fantastic time . This is our third visit to a fishing resort in Thailand and if we had found TopCats first we would not have gone anywhere else.

TopCats say the fishing is out of this world and we must agree as between us we amassed 81 fish across 8 different species. We both had 2 Arapaima each , largest one estimated at 150lb. They were caught in the main lake and on an upgrade to the Arapaima swim.

Other highlights were some huge Alligator Gar and Mekong in excess of 100lb

The staff were all absolutely wonderful and on our non-fishing days we made some of the TopCats Tours packaged trips including a Koh Samui Tour and island hopping to Koh Madsum (aka Pig Island)

The food was excellent and although this meant we mostly ate on site ; Simon did show us a couple of very nice beach restaurants within easy vicinity of TopCats

We will hopefully be back next year as Ken is still after the elusive 200lb Arapaima
