At TopCats Fishing Resort we do have a few named fish, mostly Redtails: Danny, Harry and Popeye. Then there is the legend that is Tyson, who you can read about in an earlier blog here.

Last but not least we have one awesome and extremely rare Platinum or Albino Redtail. He does make a few appearances, from almost any peg on the Lake.

The pictures are all of him being caught by customers, but only since I have personally owned TopCats, so Congrats to Phil, Paul, Leigh, David, Jimmy, Tony, and Drew on a great memorable catch.

Casper normally weights in about 40-45lb and like his Amazon Redtail cousins always puts up a brute of a fight. Check out Jimmy landing him, whilst fishing for the Boat Bar at our Redtail Haven swim.

So how did he get his name? Quite simple really we asked our customers to come up with a name via our Facebook page. Mick Abbot came up with Casper, and given the ghostly but friendly appearance we thought it fitted brilliantly.
