Boat Bar Bash No5

With a bit of Covid creeping into Thailand again, Boat Bar Bash number 5 was a bit more of a subdued event.

Some of the entrants were stuck in quarantine after a trip to Bangkok so for the first time the event was reduced to a singles of event with 6 fishing with one Sala each.

All the other rules the same, 4 hours, one rod and one bait pack.

Organised superbly again by Foster he was joined by fellow Americans, Riley, Dan and Geoff. Ian (UK) and Wolfgang ( Germany) made up the crew and to be fair the fishing was also tougher than usual which the guides put down to the windy conditions.

It was still a fun day with 16 fish and 6 species coming out for 600lb.

Wolfie, aided by Doy, ran out the winner from Heavens Point with a beaut of a carp in the final minute sealing the victory from Ian with 3 fish for 135lb.

With Art doing the guiding, Riley, (first time at TopCats) caught the biggest fish to win the TopCats polo. The Coconut swim produced the 90lb+ monster in the final hour.
