The weather is certainly warming up, my phone said it was 30 deg but the humidity was high from an early morning shower and the air was still.

The sport was expected to be slower, but this is TopCats, and we all know this is no normal fishing lake. I had a 100 baht bet with Rob Ferrey that there would be at least one fish caught in the first 30 mins. It was a close one and I have the Marvels to thank for winning me the cash with an early 30lb carp from Heavens Point.

It was a slow start, in fact the winning team didn’t have a single fish for an hour but eventually, Didi and Mano ran out comfortable winners representing the French Kiss with 11 fish for 525lbs. The highlight was the 80lb Carp which you can also see on our Facebook page as it featured in a live feed. The Deep Water swim is red hot now winning 2 out of the last 3 events. No pressure, the Marvels, are on their next !

Coco Beach fancied their chances from Redtail Haven and were going well but the swim died in the last hour, and they had to settle for 2^nd place.

Special mention for Summer House who did well from the tricky predator corner swim , Elliot, and Brian, coming 3^rd on the day with 360lb.

Despite the heat the lake still delivered the goods with 42 fish for 1855lbs coming out in the 4 hours.

The Carp still formed the bulk of the weight but there was a good smattering of Mekong Cats to 70lb, Redtails and a stunning 35lb Tambaqui caught by Ash fishing for Marvel Construction on the day.

With the new draw system, the league is as tight as ever but for the first time the French Kiss is in the lead, but they have some tougher draws to come.
