Since the latest wave of Covid and with more staff available this was the first battle  for a while, where we actually got all 6 teams on the Lake at the same time.

There was some torrential overnight rain before, but by the time we started the day was hot and humid. The lake is still very low, one metre down, so this led to the fishing being harder than it has ever been for one of these competitions.

The overall leaders drew one of the fancied pegs, The Carp Channel, and made no mistakes finishing with 9 fish for 365lb. They finished well clear of Samui Web Solutions who had 7 fish for 220lb from Redtail Haven. The Boat bar just about kept in touch with the leaders coming 3^rd with just 4 fish from the Predator Corner Peg and 130lb.

Even though the fishing was slow, there was still 28 fish caught in total, averaging 37lb each. It was good to see 6 species caught, but no Alligators who were on the feed but proved nearly impossible to catch with some teams reporting a lot of missed bites/bite-offs

Check out the pics for the best fish of the day was taken by Nick fishing for the Boat Bar an estimated 75lb carp, marginally bigger than the one caught by Dan fishing for Cocos.
