TopCats has some huge Amazon Redtails.

These fish were successfully introduced into Asia many years ago and have grown at a rapid rate. Many are approaching or above the magical 3 figure mark and the lake record is held by a fish affectionately named” Harry”, who was weighed at 140lb.

If you are up for a fight then these beautiful fish deliver an arm aching battle, normally trolling the margins looking for bolt holes in which to escape. When they are caught, they are perfect for your trophy picture, well behaved and stunning in appearance.

These Redtails are greedy scavengers and eat almost anything. They can be caught all over the lake but there is a swim here called ‘The Hideaway’ which we consider one of the best Redtail pegs in the world. It is a private swim that can be used if you book one of our luxurious Suite Bungalows. The legendary Arapaima peg is also a hiding place for some of these true river monsters.
