Wynfest 2026:
Highlights and Results from TopCats Fishery Thailand

It was our absolute pleasure to host the annual Wynfest Thailand festival this year!

The exclusive event brought together six pairs of anglers for an unforgettable week-long experience. The itinerary kicked off with an official practice day on May 31st, followed by five intense days of competition. To guarantee absolute fairness, pairs rotated pegs daily, and our expert guides remained stationed in their specific areas so no single pair could hold an unfair advantage.

The competition adhered strictly to TopCats fishery rules and designated fishing times, utilizing a strategic points-scoring system where rarer fish species commanded higher points. Daily bonuses were also up for grabs for landing Siamese carp over 75lbs, the day’s biggest fish, and the highest total number of fish caught.

A Record-Breaking Week of Thailand Fishing

The sheer scale of Wynfest 2026 was mind-blowing. Over five days of competitive fishing, our anglers landed a whopping 366 fish and accrued a staggering 1,859 points! While the full day-by-day story unfolded in real-time on our Facebook and Instagram pages, here is how the final leaderboard shook out after the final bonus adjustments:

Team Breakdowns: How the Competition Unfolded

1st Place: Simon & Darren (445 pts)
Total runaway winners! Massive congratulations to them for cracking the venue tactics and pulling off a comfortable victory after two slow opening days. Watching Simon fish like a machine for 12 hours a day was exhausting to witness, but it is exactly how a top matchman dominates a world-class venue like ours. Huge shoutout to Darren too, who bagged two superb Arapaima and a crucial bonus Alligator Gar!

2nd Place: Harvey & Jalen (323 pts)
An incredible week for these two, landing most of the big Amazon Redtail Catfish of the event alongside their fair share of 75lb+ bonus Siamese Carp. A special mention goes to Jalen—he started the week as a complete novice and ended it looking like a seasoned pro!

3rd Place: Tony & Graham H (305 pts)
Tony, who did all the heavy lifting to organize this amazing event, teamed up with Graham H. The duo started the competition like a house on fire. However, the fishing gods can be cruel; they hit a brutal struggle on what we all thought was a highly fancied peg on the final day. That’s fishing!

4th Place: Perren & Pedro (268 pts)
Perren (Pez) was the livewire of the group and remained buzzing throughout the week, though the grueling pace slowed him down slightly as the event progressed. Pedro kept things laid-back most of the time. Their ultimate highlight was landing a bonus Tiger Catfish, which brought them incredibly close to winning the weekly prize for the most species caught.

5th Place: Mick & Tracey (258 pts)
As our only fishing couple, Mick proved himself to be the master of the Facebook Live feeds. They were the overall tournament leaders after Day 1 but encountered a couple of tough sessions before successfully cracking the big carp toward the end. Mick also snared a beautiful Arapaima from the Coconut Swim.

6th Place: Graham L & Mel (250 pts)
Last but certainly not least, these two absolute gentlemen struggled a bit early on but definitely worked the venue out as the week progressed. Graham L proved to be the ultimate carp master, landing the single heaviest carp of the entire tournament from Predator Corner
