12: Sea Fishing Charters with Samui Sea Fishing
One of the most popular of all the TopCats tours is a sea fishing trip.
We use Samui Sea Fishing, who offer private fishing trips around Koh Samui, with day and night fishing excursions for anglers of all abilities
The trips can be tailor-made for 1 to groups of up to 20 people. They have a wide range of boats for various purposes, you can experience not only fishing trips but can also offer snorkelling trips, island hopping, catamaran and speedboat group or private hire.
With them, you can expect to experience picturesque sunrises and sunsets whilst catching exotic fish, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery and sunshine in a tropical paradise.
Samui Fish Species
Koh Samui offers a wide range of fish species, and various fishing methods are employed, including trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, and hand-line fishing. If squid fishing is your thing, this can also be catered for. Customers are taken to the “best secret fishing spots” around Koh Samui and its surrounding islands, using sonar to locate the most productive areas.
The main target fish are Barracuda, White and Red Snapper, Stingray, Grouper, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Queen Fish, Cobia, Eel, GT species to name but a few.

You hear some fishermen’s tales of Marlin and Tuna, but whilst the odd Sailfish is caught off the neighboring island of Koh Tao, the sad truth is that the Gulf of Thailand is too shallow around Koh Samui (35 meters max). For these monsters, you need to head to the Andaman Sea
