Ricks Christmas Visit

Rick Allsop is making a habit of Christmas in Thailand followed by New Year at TopCats. This year was no exception, and he booked 6 nights in our Premiere bungalow.

Accompanied by his good lady Vaska they were both fishing and we gave them a go all round the Lake including the private swims over the back. 

This correspondent thinks Rick and Vaska are mad. Fitness, work outs and training in Phuket, Chaweng and even here in Taling Ngam (6am in the morning prior to fishing)  and on top of that we subjected them to some even more brutal workouts from some of our heavyweight lake inhabitants.

With Tadpole on hand their catch rate was truly impressive with over 40 fish each in the 5 days of fishing. As well as trademark Siamese Carp, they landed Pacu, Tambaqui, Gourami, Mekong, and Redtail Cats. It was nice to see one of our plump short body Siamese as well as 2 Arapaima. The piece de resistance was the Alligator gar that was top of Ricks Bucket List .
