It was hot day for the latest Bar Battle and the fishing started of quite slowly.

The Marvels were nursing bad heads but raced into an early lead from the Carp Channel .

With 30 minutes to go Samui Sky Villas, who were fishing in the Coconut Swim caught some hefty carp and then with the help of Tyson began to pull clear.

The last 20 minutes was nothing short of spectacular as Izzys Bar went to maximum over drive. Izzy himself landed first, a near triple figure carp and then  a 70lb monster in successive casts to get within 25lb of the Sky Villas team.

Then as the countdown was on for the end of the match, Izzy then hit into a 60lb Amazon Redtail that won him and his team mate Dave the match. This was the first event that Redtail Haven has won and we are fairly sure this is the first time we have seen a carp from that peg.

This was a record event for numbers of species caught. The total was 9 including some lumpy Alligators caught by the Coco Beach Bar at Heavens Point and the very special Ripsaw Cat, caught also in the last minute by Mano( team Folliewady) from the Deep Water Peg.
